Thrive Aviation and FL3XX. A fast-growing operation built by aviation people, powered by one connected platform.
Meet Thrive Aviation
Thrive Aviation launched in 2018 with a clear point of view: private aviation should feel confident, straightforward, and premium.
The company is based in the Las Vegas region and operates a diverse fleet - from light jets to large-cabin and ultra-long-range aircraft, including models like the Gulfstream G450 and G600.
Their positioning is consistent across everything they do: elevated service, proactive detail management, and a technology-forward operation designed to reduce friction for clients and crews.
As the fleet and team expanded, Thrive needed a system that could connect every department, every workflow, and every leg, without slowing growth.
Built by people who love aviation
Nobody says it better than Curtis Edenfield, Thrive's co-founder and CEO.
“Thrive started in 2018, with a small knit group of aviation enthusiasts. It didn’t get concocted in some private equity conference room or anything like that. It was a group of folks that loved aviation, loved airplanes, and wanted to build a very cool company.”
From day one at Thrive, the mission was bigger than aircraft. It was about taking care of everyone involved in the operation.
That philosophy shows up in how Thrive thinks about service: the client journey doesn’t start at takeoff - and it doesn’t end at landing. Curtis, in particular, sees the journey as end-to-end - from first contact to wheels down at home.
“For us, business aviation - private aviation - is 24/7. Your experience with Thrive starts at first contact, and it doesn’t end until you’re at your home."
That’s not just a customer service idea - it’s an operational standard. Because in private aviation, every detail touches safety, consistency, and trust.
Why the mission matters
Aviation is complicated. Thrive’s mission is to keep it that way internally - and simple for the people who depend on it.
Thrive believes complexity should be handled by the operation, not handed to the customer or the crew. That requires rigor, accountability, and systems that keep everyone aligned. Again, Curtis leads by example.
“At Thrive, we believe that private aviation should not be complicated. Thrive’s goal is to make aviation simplified.”
The scaling challenge: growth needs a “nervous system”
Thrive’s growth curve brought a new reality: more aircraft, more people, and more movement, means more moments where communication and accountability can break down.
That’s why Thrive looked for a platform that could connect every department, every workflow, and every role - without forcing the team to stitch together five different systems.
After carefully assessing the market, they chose FL3XX.
The FL3XX solution
As Thrive scaled, they didn’t just need “software.” They needed a system that could connect the entire operation - crew, ops, sales, accounting - and keep everyone working off the same reality.
For Zach Anderson, Vice President of Fleet Management at Thrive, that cohesion is what turns growth into something repeatable: one platform, one loop, every team aligned.
“FL3XX allows us cohesion between the flight crew app, between our operations team, the sales team, and the accounting team - to close the loop all in one platform.”
And because Thrive runs on best-in-class tools, integrations matter. FL3XX became the hub that pulls the ecosystem together without creating silos, with 130+ integrations to connect the business aviation industry.
From there, Thrive built tighter accountability into day-to-day execution - clear steps, clear owners, every leg - supported by reporting and analytics through FL3XX Bright. As Zach puts it:
“The Dispatch Flight Panel piece in FL3XX is very important in driving accountability to the team, making sure that everybody knows that every step is done in the workflow for every leg through the release process."
What makes the partnership strategic is that Thrive doesn’t lose control of their data as they grow - they can use it, shape it, and build on it through the FL3XX API.
Finally, FL3XX and Thrive is not a “set it and forget it” relationship. We're proud of our partnership, and work side-by-side - mapping what matters, feeding improvements back into the platform, and making the system better over time.
“It was really, really beneficial being able to actually sit down in a room, get on a whiteboard, get on the computer screens and literally map out and show from an operator’s perspective what really, really matters.”
