MTOW and FBU Weight Units in FL3XX

See how MTOW and FBU settings shape weight units for passengers, cargo, and fuel, and how changes impact the flights.

The Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) stated in the Aircraft's page, determines the weight units used for Passengers, Luggage, Animals and Cargo.

The Fuel Burn Unit (FBU), stated in the Aircraft's page, impacts both FPL - Min Fuel Required and the Post Flight Fuel Unit.

  • If the MTOW is in kilograms (kg), the FBU can be either in kilograms (kg) or liters (L).

  • If the MTOW is in pounds (lb), the FBU can be either in pounds (lb) or liters (L).

MTOW Adjustment: Changing the MTOW unit will automatically trigger an update for all flight weights related to Passengers, Luggage, Animals and Cargo, regardless of the Post Flight status.

FBU Adjustment: flights that have already passed their ETD or have an MVT inserted, will remain unaffected by the change. The modification will only impact future flights or those without an MVT inserted.
