Dispatch App - Additional Features
This article covers smaller improvements and UX features in the Dispatch App that do not have a dedicated article.
Discarding Unsaved Flight Changes
The Discard Changes option lets you undo unsaved local edits to a flight before they are synced to the platform.
How to use:
- Edit one or more fields on a flight without syncing.
- Navigate back to the flight list.
- Swipe left on the flight. "Discard Changes" appears alongside Sync and Details.
- Tap Discard Changes.
- Confirm in the dialog: tap Discard to revert, or Cancel to keep editing.
Key notes:
- Only visible when there are unsaved local changes.
- Works in offline mode.
- Expenses are not included in this action.
- No operator setting required.
Text Fields and the Bottom Sheet Editor
All text fields in the Dispatch App now expand to show their full content and open a dedicated editor when you tap them.
What changed:
- Text fields auto-expand to full height — no content is clipped.
- Tapping an editable field opens a full-screen bottom sheet editor.
- Read-only fields display in full but cannot be edited.
- Empty fields show at two-line height with placeholder text.
How to edit a field:
- Tap any text field (for example: Remarks, Hotac Notes, Catering Order, Fuel Notes).
- A bottom sheet opens. Tap the text area to bring up the keyboard.
- Make your edits.
- Tap Done to save, or Cancel to discard.
- Swiping down with unsaved edits shows a prompt: Discard Changes or Keep Editing.
Where this applies (Dispatch App):
