Custom Development at FL3XX
Focused on Our Core. Flexible When It Matters.
At FL3XX, our priority is to deliver a robust, evolving aviation management platform - enhanced with frequent feature deployments and a continuously evolving integration portfolio that benefits all users.
While custom development is not our primary business, we understand that certain operational or regulatory requirements may require specialized solutions. In those cases, we carefully evaluate requests on an individual basis, ensuring they are feasible, aligned with our roadmap, and provide meaningful value.
1. How It Works: A Structured & Transparent Process
We approach every custom development request with careful evaluation to ensure it brings real value and can be delivered efficiently.
1.1 Submit a Clear Scope
To start, send us a detailed description of what you need:
- What problem are you solving?
- What outcome(s) are you looking for?
- Are there regulatory drivers or specific workflows involved?
This helps us assess whether the request is feasible and fits within our development capacity.
1.2 Assessment
If your request is considered viable, we will perform an initial assessment that includes:
- High-level feasibility review (functional & technical)
- Preliminary solution direction
- Identification of major risks, dependencies, and constraints
- Assessment of whether the request is operator-specific or suitable for broader FL3XX adoption
Output:→ Assessment summary (non-binding, no pricing commitment)
1.3 Work Order (Authorization to Define)
If you decide to proceed, we will issue a Work Order that authorizes FL3XX to:
- Perform detailed solution design and specification
- Allocate product, architecture, and engineering resources
- Define scope boundaries and delivery approach
- High-level scope description
- Commercial framework (rate card or capped design effort)
- Commercial terms for the definition phase
- Reference to standard FL3XX terms & conditions
Important: This Work Order does not authorize development — only the preparation of the SoW.
1.4 Statement of Work (SoW)
Based on the approved Work Order, FL3XX will prepare a Statement of Work that defines:
- Final functional and technical specifications
- Confirmed scope and deliverables
- Estimated effort (development days)
- Pricing based on standard custom development rates
- Delivery milestones and timeline
- Agile delivery and Change Control principles
- User Acceptance Criteria (UAC)
1.5 Delivery & Acceptance
Upon delivery, you’ll have two weeks to review the results and confirm they meet the UAC:
- If anything is missing or off-spec, just let us know by email - we’ll correct it at no extra charge.
- If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we’ll consider the work accepted as delivered.
Any issues raised after that point will be treated as a new request with a new scope, timeline, and cost.
2. Key Points to Remember
- Custom development is not a standard service - we review each request individually.
- We evaluate requests based on technical feasibility, business impact, and development capacity.
- Features that benefit multiple customers may be incorporated into our core product roadmap.
3. Interested in a Custom Feature?
We’re happy to explore your needs. Please send us a clear and detailed scope via sales@fl3xx.com, and we’ll guide you through the next steps.
Let’s work together to see what’s possible.
