FL3XX promises to reduce operational costs, increase productivity and enhance safety of air charter operators.
FL3XX next-generation system integrates, manages, and automizes all aspects of air charter operations. It includes real-time booking, auto-scheduling of aircraft and crew, schedule optimization, legal compliance, as well as flight tracking, pre-flight and post-flight data logging. The system is entirely designed and coded internally and is based on open platforms. The core technology for the schedule optimizer is based on multi-agents - composed of multiple interacting intelligent agents. The agents can solve the schedule of a fleet of 100 aircraft in less than 1 second. FL3XX is a web application, accessible with all web browsers as well as iPhone and iPad.
The concept design and product definition started in 2005, and the company was founded in 2010. Headquarters are located in a quaint 500m2 open space at Hagenberg Softwarepark. It employs 12 developers (all hold Master's degrees) and is actively hiring.
Press Clippings
On October 6, 2010, the Austrian Minister for Research and Development visited FL3XX. Mrs. Beatrix Karl spent almost an hour discussing the issues facing technology startups in Europe, and the rationale of a softwarepark. Austrian Government policy is to develop the hi-tech and aviation sectors, and the visit of Min. Karl underscores this national commitment. See here a picture taken during the visit of Min. Beatrix Karl.
On march 29, 2011, the director of Medianet invited a group of experts to discuss technology development in Austria, with a focus on the Hagenberg Softwarepark. At the roundtable, in the Press Club in Linz were Ludwig Scharinger (Gen. Dir. Raiffaisen Bank), Bruno Buchberger (Softwarepark founder), Viktor Sigl (Econ. Min. OÖ), Markus Costabiei (CEO Tech2b), Paolo Sommariva.
The discussion focused on technology startup issues, and Mr. Scharinger proposed an unconventional dogma, based on trust ("Vertrauen") which has proven successful in northern Austria. See the article in Medianet.
